This year for Xavion’s 5th Birthday we decided to have a blazing hot “firefighter” themed birthday party!
Once we selected the theme, we had to find the absolute perfect venue to hold such a fiery bash! What better place than the hottest, newest, most awesomest kid’s edutainment place in Singapore – KidZania!! Now most of you have probably heard of or even visited the new KidZania in Singapore numerous times and totally know what I am raving about. Since one of the most popular experiences at KidZania is the firehouse role-play, this was the perfect place to host a fire themed party for a group of little boys!
Let me give you a quick overview of Xavion’s KidZania Party –
- Day & Time: Saturday @ 11:00am
- Location: KidZania Singapore (Palawan Beach, Sentosa)
- KidZania Party Package: Zuper KidZ Party with an Urbano Football Fanatic theme
- SuperMommy’s Theme: Firefighter
- Guests: 17 boys (ages 5 to 7) & 18 adults

It’s KidZania PARTY TIME!!!
The long awaited party day was finally here! The guests one by one started to arrive. At the KidZania entrance, our party guests were able to skip the line and go to a special counter to sign in. Once they had cleared KidZania immigration, they were guided by numerous signs all over the city leading them up to the party room.
Super Note: Although we only had the party room for a few hours, we were able to stay at KidZania for the entire day. As such, we told our guests to come early and stay late to get the whole experience.
The “50’s Songs Cafe” Party Firehouse
Our party was held in the “50’s Songs Cafe” which was located on the mezzanine level of KidZania in the center of the town square.
We were able to choose from 3 designated KidZania party rooms, all of which have their own unique features and vary in size and theme.
The RightZKeeper’s Club House party room is located on the main floor of KidZania. It is a smaller room and is good for about 30 pax. It was too small for Xavion’s party, otherwise it would have been the ideal for the firefighter theme since the firefighter’s “burning” building is right next door.
The “Making Friends Cafe” is the largest party room and is able to accommodate 50-60 pax, and would be great for bigger party, with plenty of seats for everyone. Both the Making Friends Cafe and 50’s Songs Cafe are located right across from each other on a private floor that only party guests are able to access.
We decided to host the party in the “50’s Songs Cafe”; the red, black and white color scheme was a perfect fit for our firefighter theme and the room was just the right size to accommodate our 35 pax!
We loved the fact that the 50’s Songs Cafe overlooked the town square, so even when the kids were busy eating and hanging out in the party room, they still felt like they were a part of the city action.
Super Note: A KidZania party doesn’t really require it’s own “theme” because it is such an awesome place on its own. You don’t spend that much time in the party room, so you don’t need that many extras to make your party stand out. The Yummy Party Food
The last thing you want at a kid’s party are rumbling tummies! The Zuper KidZania party package also includes buffet style party food for both the kids and the adults. There are a couple of different menu options to choose from, including Asian, Western and light soups & sandwiches (great for picky eaters). We were able to do a little mixing and matching to get just the right combination of food for our party guests.
The main buffet spread was set-up right outside the party room, which worked out well for parents and kids that wanted to stand and mingle while they enjoyed their lunch.
In addition to what was on the party package menu, we could order food ala carte from any of the KidZania establishments (including Pizza Hut, KFC, The Soup Spoon, etc). On the day of the party we ordered four extra large pizzas directly from the Pizza Hut, no hassle and super easy to do. Just FYI, the party package did include enough food for both the kids and adults, with lots to spare at the end.
The KidZania “Exclusive” Football Fanatic Experience
KidZania is a very popular place and can get crowded, especially on weekends. With the Zuper KidZ Party package, the kids were able to have 4 customized role-play experiences which were exclusive to our party! The party role-play activities are tailored around 5 unique KidZania birthday themes, (1) Urbano Football Fanatic, (2) Vita and Best Friends, (3) Chika Zupermodel, (4) Beebop Music Popstar and (5) Bache the Secret Agent.
We choose the Urbano Football Fanatic theme for our party guests. Each of the Football Fanatic custom role-play experiences were designed as a fun and educational experience leading to the final football match in the KidZania Stadium.
The kid’s were divided up into small groups of 6 according to age and then led by the KidZania team to the various activities. Each group rotated between the activities, with a final meeting spot 1 hour later at the Stadium.
The activities for the Football Fanatic experience were as follows –
Spritzer – The importance of hydration for sports and an endorsement for their football team.
The KidZania Post – Learning how to write and publish a newsletter with details leading to the big game.
LifeBuoy – Getting a large company endorsement for the football match.
The Football Game
The moment had arrived! The final match-up, the “Wacky Orange Team” vs. the “Zany Blue Team”.
The parents cheered on the teams while comfortably seated in the sidelines. The match was neck & neck and all the boys tried their best to score those goals!
And the winning team was…drum roll please….everyone of course!!
Birthday Cake Cutting with Urbano
Every year I spend hours and hours trying to find the perfect cake for my son’s birthday party. This year it was easy, KidZania’s party package included a customized cake, which meant time and money saved! We were able to choose the type of icing and the flavor of the cake (chocolate, vanilla or strawberry).
Urbano, the KidZania football fanatic mascot was also there for the cake cutting, which made the whole event even more exciting for the kids.
As for the taste, “totally yummy” and there was more than enough cake for all the guests (with lots of leftover to take home as well)!
The Surprise Birthday Flash Mob
Now I have saved the best for last – the Birthday Flash Mob! Now this was a surprise to us and the guests (so I hope I am not ruining it for you). At the end of the party, Xavion (with mommy’s help) got to ride in a mini-car through the KidZania city to the town square.
Members of the KidZania staff came out of their establishments to sing Xavion a special birthday song, while our party guests cheered and sang along. Even Urbano came out to join the fun!
This whole experience was just too awesome to for words. The birthday boy really did feel like a king!
SuperMommy’s Overall Party Opinion
Everyone had an absolutely fabulous time! Xavion’s KidZania birthday party was truly amazing! All the guests were super impressed with everything, especially the VIP treatment that we received with the Zuper KidZ Party package.
Having exclusive role-play activities really enhanced the overall enjoyment for all the party guests. The kids were able to experience four unique activities with their friends without having to wait in long lines. Moreover, since the KidZania party staff was in charge of the kids during the activities, the parents were able to relax and chat amongst themselves (even me, who is usually super stressed at party time).
My personal favorite was the flash mob, which I absolutely loved, loved, loved! It was above and beyond what I would have expected in the party package and I was impressed that this was included. Another highlight was the fact that Urbano was both at the cake cutting and at the flash mob; this really gave the kids the whole KidZania experience.
A few other cool things that I didn’t mention are also included in the party package, for example a photographer for one hour, KidZos for all the kids, KidZania pens & goodies and a birthday gift for the birthday boy. Overall I was extremely pleased with the whole party, including the efficiency of the party staff, taste of the food and the quality of the birthday package activities.
