Valentines Day is almost here! It’s time to show that special someone (or in this case your friends) how much you care. For my son’s preschool class (all 4 – 5 year olds), I decided to make these fishbowl valentines for him to pass out to his friends. The cards are super easy to make and look really cute when they are finished!
Things you need:
- Fishbowl paper cut-out / printable (see below)
- Fish shaped cookies, candy, crackers, toys, etc.
- Cardstock (optional)
- Clear plastic square shaped bag
- Tape / heart stickers
On the back of the card we glued a colored piece of cardstock to the back of the print-outs – blue for the boys and pink for the girls.
Then Zayden was able to write out each of his classmate’s names. Super Note: You can either print out the fish bowl directly on card stock or just glue it onto a piece of heavy paper like I did.
Then we put the Valentine’s Day card in the clear plastic, added some Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers to the fish bowl and sealed it with a heart sticker. Super Note: I originally wanted to use the Pepperidge Farm chocolate & vanilla graham cracker cookies but the colored goldfish just looked so much better, so we used those instead.
In case anyone is still stuck on ideas for Valentine’s Day, I am providing a FREE printable of the fishbowl with the text. You are welcome to use it for your Valentine’s day cards if you like. Just click on the picture, save the jpeg and print it out in the size that you want.
Hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day!
