Do you want a toothy grin or spooky scowl? Happy or sad? A wink or slant? What face will your Halloween Jack-O-Lantern wear this year? Wouldn’t it be awesome if your jack-o-lantern could change to fit your mood? Why not do a little something different this year and make a chalkboard painted pumpkin! It’s really easy to do and your kids can help too!

This is what you will need:

  •  A Pumpkin
  • Chalkboard Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Chalk

Step-by-Step:

Step 1:  Clean your pumpkin using a wet towel.

Step 2:  Use your paint brush to apply the chalkboard paint all over the pumpkin.

Step 3:  Set the pumpkin aside to dry for approximately 6-8 hours.

Step 4:  Apply the second coat of paint. Let the paint completely dry for at least 24 hours.

Step 5:  Rub chalk all over the pumpkin and then use a dry cloth to wipe the chalk off.

You now have your very own “Chalkboard” Pumpkin!

Step 6:  Get out your chalk and start creating your “Jack-O-Lantern”. Even the young ones can help-out! The possibilities are endless. Have fun!

Hope you have more Treats than Tricks. Happy Haunting!
