If you are reading this article, you probably have some questions about Rejuran Healer and wondering if it is the right treatment for you. I am writing this article after completing three full face Rejuran Healer treatments with Dr. Terence Tan at Halley Medical Aesthetics and want to share with you my experience – the before, during and after!

A few months back I embarked on my CoolSculpting journey at Halley Medical Aesthetics to help contour my post-pregnancy thighs (click here to read all the details). Like most of us out there, my thighs are not my only concern. I sat before Dr. Terence Tan and informed him of all of my beauty concerns – from loss of firmness, wrinkles, sagging skin, melasma, enlarged pores and more.

After an examination of my face, he recommended “Rejuran Healer”. Having heard of most other treatments before, naturally I was intrigued by this rejuvenating skin healer treatment from Korea, that had received the Singapore stamp of approval. I proceeded to then ask about 100 questions, quizzing Dr. Terence Tan on the benefits of Rejuran Healer versus fillers, lasers, boosters and all the other latest aesthetics treatments.

After a lengthy discussion, I was convinced that this was the treatment for me and was eager to try it for myself. Thus, I began my Rejuran Healer journey, which I will explain to you in details below.

What is Rejuran Healer?

Rejuran Healer is a skin healer treatment from Korea. It is Europe CE-approved and also approved by the Singapore Health Science Authority (HSA). Rejuran is formulated to reverse the skin ageing process. It repairs the skin cells from deep inside by stimulating collagen production and kickstarting the skin’s healing ability to improve skin elasticity and heal damaged skin. Clinical studies have also shown Rejuran to be effective in tackling pigmentation and melasma by reducing pigment production right at the cellular level. This skin healer treatment is also known to improve the overall brightness and tone of the skin, enhance skin texture, reduce wrinkles and sagging, and even lighten dark eye circles.

The active ingredient in Rejuran is polynucleotides (PN), a biological molecule extracted from salmon DNA, known to have excellent biocompatibility with human skin without producing any immune response. It has shown to have regeneration ability and works by stimulating the skin’s fibroblasts to produce collagen.

SuperMommy’s Rejuran Healer Experience with Halley Medical Aesthetics

What is the Rejuran Treatment like?

The procedure started off with the cleansing of my face and application of numbing cream for 30+ minutes.

After removing the numbing cream, Dr. Terence Tan opened the sealed Rejuran box and showed me the contents inside. He then proceeded to manually inject my face with Rejuran, focusing on the areas that required the most attention.

Some doctors use a machine, rather than skillful, individually targeted injections, so make sure you ask the details before you start the procedure.

Approximately 100 micro injections were administered to my face by Dr. Terence Tan, while a nurse used a machine to blow cold air on my face and dabbed each injection site.

After about 10-15 minutes the Rejuran treatment was finished.

Does Rejuran Hurt?

Dr. Terence Tan and I were laughing and talking the whole time. My recommendation is to take some form of an over-the-counter painkiller about 1 hour before your treatment and leave your numbing creme on for at least 30 minutes.

The level of discomfort you feel during the Rejuran treatment will vary based on your own threshold for pain. Honestly, for me I barely felt a thing – it only pricked a slight bit.

Most people just hear the word “needle” or “injection” and get scared – but it is really not that bad at all since the Rejuran is injected close to the outer layer of the skin. As long as you go to a skilled doctor, the results of Rejuran will outweigh the slight discomfort you may feel during the treatment.

What is the recovery time after Rejuran?

Immediately post treatment, I’m not going to lie – it looked like I had been attacked by an angry mosquito. I had small raised bumps over the majority of my face. However, this can easily be covered up by either wearing a surgical mask or with large sunglasses.

Approximately 1 hour post Rejuran Healer treatment.

With my large sunglasses, the marks on my face were barely noticeable, and those that you could still see looked like acne. My recommendation is to get the treatment done and go directly home. I personally took my kids to swimming lessons a few hours after my first treatment, but wore a big floppy hat and sunglasses, so no one could clearly see my face.

Almost all of the bumps went away by morning, except a few under my eyes and those were gone by the end of the day. The small needle pricks took 3-4 days to go away entirely, however these were easily covered up with concealer. I did not experience any bruising, discomfort or soreness after the treatment (just the bumps and tiny marks on my face).

How long does it take before you see the effects of Rejuran?

It is recommended that you do three treatments, one month apart to start. Then after the first three treatments, you can space out your treatments to every 6 months.

You will start feeling the effects of Rejuran approximately four weeks after the first treatment. As you do more treatments, the condition of your skin gets better and better.

A few weeks after my first treatment, I could already feel that my skin was smoother and more hydrated. Subsequently now after my third treatment (4 months since I started Rejuran), my cheeks feel supple. My face is less sullen / sunken and my skin feels firm to touch. My face has brightened up, however there is no change to my melasma. But this will improve with further treatment, advised Dr. Terence Tan.

BEFORE Rejuran (All face makeup has been removed)

AFTER 3 Rejuran Treatments   (All face makeup has been removed)

Another interesting thing I have noticed, is that I now have minimal acne breakouts (even hormonal ones) since I started my Rejuran treatments. I feel that this is a result of the treatment, since I have made no other changes to my lifestyle.

Would I do Rejuran again?

I definitely plan to continue my Rejuran treatments. I have already completed the first three treatments done one month apart, thus my next treatment will be in approximately 6 months. I do feel that with more Rejuran treatments, the condition of my skin will only improve!

Is Rejuran worth it?

In my opinion yes, Rejuran is worth it! Fillers go away – Rejuran is rejuvenating your face at a molecular level using polynucleotides extracted from salmon DNA – which is backed by proven science. You are healing your face, building collagen and reducing the effects of aging – not covering or filling it up like many of the other treatments.

SuperMommy’s Opinion of Rejuran Healer with Halley Medical Aesthetics

Overall, I loved the effects of Rejuran. I can feel a difference in the plumpness of my cheeks – there is a new bounce and firmness to them that I haven’t felt for a long time. Science and technology are advancing each day and I am glad that I am able to benefit with new techniques like this one.
